NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2019

Isn’t it simply amazing how Springtime always makes the world feel like it’s starting anew?  Can you feel it too – the way this new season is so waking and revitalising…?  And yet I would like to pop THIS question – the same question American writer Gary Zukav asks in his book “Authentic power”: “How often does your spring come? If you are a prisoner of the calendar, it comes once a year. If you are creating authentic power, it comes very frequently…”

In our studio we have witnessed real, authentic power this past winter, and I can`t wait to see how all our members will continue their wonderful fitness journeys when our Summer Challenge kicks off on Monday the 16th of September!  If you are new at the studio and would like to join us, don`t hesitate to contact me about this exciting venture!  It`s still R320 if you pay on Monday the 16th, after that it`s R350.  This Challenge fee includes 3 body assessments on our InBody machine, and of course, a 4th free assessment in November if you manage to improve your stats.

It`s really a privilege to welcome all our new members.

Congratulations to our lucky draw free month of September member – Annecke Fourie.  Good luck to all our students and grade 12 members with the final exams of 2019.  A huge congratulations to Sarita on completing her Yoga exam successfully!  We are very proud of you.  Sarita now also presents Yoga at other times in our studio.  Her contact details are 082 819 6886.  I also, once again want to thank Sarita, Elanza, Elsje, Anel, Cecile and Doempie for their huge contribution to make our studio a word-class fitness facility.

We are privileged to have Lesha in the studio every afternoon from 17.00 to 18.00 for child-care – This service comes at no extra cost to our members, but it needs to be arranged every day with Mirna before 14.00.

Please remember to add me as a contact person on your phone, even when you switch phones, otherwise you won`t be able to receive my Broadcast messages with the weekly schedule, Blog and info.

…Looking and feeling great this Summer is not going to take care of itself.  Do you need a shift in attitude to make those workouts happen?

Then remind yourself of the facts:
  • Summer officially starts in less than 11 weeks!!!!
  • You will never ever regret doing a workout, unless you break your leg, of course.
  • I promise, once you see results, you are hooked.
  • Exercise IS therapy.
  • You are your problem, but…also your solution…
  • Just imagine yourself in 6 months…

And a few tips:

  • Plan your workouts AND your meals.
  • Stop comparing yourself to others…
  • Tell the negative voice in your head to shut up!
  • Review your goals – set a new one if you have to.
  • Eating clean will really make you feel better and more energetic, really…
  • Working out and staying fit isn’t just about looking good. Your self-image is directly impacted by what you think and feel about your body. Your body is the home you live and there is no escaping it. Working out and eating correctly is likened to cleaning your house. If you never picked your house up, little by little it would become toxic. If you look at exercise from this vantage point, and not just from the desire to look good, you have a greater chance of staying motivated. Live clean and be lean.
  • Be patient. It takes time…

We promise to help Spring clean your summer workout routine for the rest of the year.  All you STILL need to do is show up…especially on those days you don`t feel like working out.  May you have a wonderful month of September and…only expect good things!
