Owner and manager of Mirna`s Aerobic Studio
I have been involved in the fitness industry for 23 years. I studied BA (Ed) at TUKS and taught Afrikaans and English at Hoërskool Ermelo before I decided to become a fitness instructor. It has always been my dream to have my own studio.
Today I am a qualified Aerobics, Booty Barre®, Rhythm Pilates® Zumba, Step, Rebound, Power Pump and BASI Pilates® instructor based in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. I am extremely passionate about the ever evolving fitness industry, and helping women feel empowered about their bodies has become a true calling.
Having fun while getting the rocking and healthy body of your dreams is very important to me. I am a firm believer in continuing education to ensure that our Aerobics studio stays on top of all the latest fitness trends. My fitness blog is not only a way of sharing my thoughts and knowledge, but also the expression of my passion for the written word. Aristotle said: “You are what you repeatedly do.” It is my firm believe that, if you want to be outstanding, you have to develop the habit of personal excellence.

I am a natural creative soul with a passion for living life ‘well’ hence why I joined the Mirna’s Aerobic Studio-family. Dancing, exercise and teaching have been part of my life since my childhood.
I studied B.Sc. Genetics and did PGSC at UFS. I started my career as a teacher at Hoërskool Ermelo and I am currently teaching Mathematics. Acrobatic dancing formed part of my life since the age of 6 years and I qualified as an Advanced Acrobatics teacher. I have since been involved in the adjudication of national Acrobatic Festivals.
When I joined Mirna’s Aerobic Studio I was introduced to Booty Barre and I enjoyed the combination of a fun, energetic workout with the elegant movements that not only define and chisel the whole body but improves any ladies’ elegance and gracefulness.
I have completed rebound training. I enjoy being part of a culture at Mirna’s Aerobic Studio where helping people to find a place where they belong and can grow stronger body-mind-soul is what motivates you to give 100% each day.
I believe the heart is more than a muscle. A person is more than a body. Relationships are as important as results and fitness isn’t just for the fit, it’s for the willing.
