MIRNA BOTHMA
Owner and manager of Mirna`s Aerobic Studio
I have been involved in the fitness industry for 23 years. I studied BA (Ed) at TUKS and taught Afrikaans and English at Hoërskool Ermelo before I decided to become a fitness instructor. It has always been my dream to have my own studio.
Today I am a qualified Aerobics, Booty Barre®, Rhythm Pilates® Zumba, Step, Rebound, Power Pump and BASI Pilates® instructor based in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. I am extremely passionate about the ever evolving fitness industry, and helping women feel empowered about their bodies has become a true calling.
Having fun while getting the rocking and healthy body of your dreams is very important to me. I am a firm believer in continuing education to ensure that our Aerobics studio stays on top of all the latest fitness trends. My fitness blog is not only a way of sharing my thoughts and knowledge, but also the expression of my passion for the written word. Aristotle said: “You are what you repeatedly do.” It is my firm believe that, if you want to be outstanding, you have to develop the habit of personal excellence.

MICHELLE
My story started in Potchefstroom where I was born and raised. Sport has always been part of my daily activities, but I enjoyed Gymnastics the most. I studied Beauty Therapy after matric, and has enjoyed working with women ever since.
I met my Husband Riaan also in Potch – he has been the pillar that keeps me standing since 2005, and we have 3 beautiful kids together.
After the birth of my third child, I have been on a serious mission to get my body back to where it was before I had kids (if that is even possible…?)
I started with some cross training and jogging, but always seemed to experience some kind of injury, with minimal transformation results.
A group of friends asked me to join them at Mirna’s Aerobic Studio in August 2021 for her Summer Challenge, and, to say the least, it has changed my life forever. From day one I poured my heart and soul into every workout and enjoyed it so much. Mirna was very welcoming and motivating. In just a few weeks I could see changes in my body, I toned down and looked skinnier, I felt so energized but most of all I was part of a loving and supporting community. I was hooked!
The day Mirna asked if I would consider joining her team, was a very easy and definite YES!
I’ve completed my Rebounding Instructor Course, and I’m currently teaching the Rebound Kids classes as well. The joy I see on their faces once they start bouncing and the knowledge that I have the opportunity to play a part in their fitness journey, are just priceless!
I’m excited about the road ahead at Mirna’s Aerobic Studio. As I always say to the kiddies:
“Let’s get fit having loads of fun!”

JACQUELINE
Exercise has always been my way out, my de-stressor. It has encouraged me to be a better mom, has helped me to be more patient AND has inspired me to become a happier person. I set goals and work even harder to achieve an even better result.
It was after I joined Mirna’s “tribe” in May 2021 that my passion for exercise was ignited and the need to learn more about the fitness industry grew after each class.
I feel happiness or well-being is the highest aim of moral thought and conduct. I don’t just want to be inspired but want to inspire.
Warren Buffet wrote: “Surround yourself with people who push you to do and be better. No drama or negativity. Just higher goals and higher motivation. Good times and positive energy. No jealousy or hate. Simply bringing out the absolute best in each other.”
